New Insights Highlight the Power of SMS and Digital Wallets in Consumer Engagement
CHICAGO, IL – January 6, 2025 – Vibes, a leading mobile engagement platform, has released its 8th annual Mobile Consumer Insights Report, unveiling key trends in how consumers interact with brands through their smartphones. Based on a survey of over 1,000 mobile-centric consumers, the report provides actionable insights into the evolving role of SMS and digital wallets in influencing purchasing behaviours.
Among the standout findings, 86% of consumers reported being more likely to engage with or redeem mobile offers sent via text message compared to email or mobile apps.
Additionally, the report revealed that 4 out of 5 consumers prefer receiving text messages from their favourite brands at least once a week, demonstrating the growing importance of SMS as a core channel for engagement.
Reinforcing the Role of Language Accessibility

By combining the power of SMS with Babeltext’s language accessibility, brands can extend their reach while maintaining meaningful connections with consumers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
A Shift in Consumer Preferences
The survey also underscores the preference for mobile channels that simplify the customer journey. More than half of respondents wished to eliminate physical wallets entirely in favour of digital options, underscoring the transformative impact of mobile-first engagement strategies.
